Within Moorestown, our church had a special emphasis on MEND
in February and participated in the township’s Candlelight Night
November 5, when Main Street strollers were invited in to see the church
and enjoy cider and doughnuts. SERRV mission crafts
were for sale. Our walkers and their supporters also participated enthusiastically
in the annual Moorestown CROP Walk, sponsored by the
local Ministerium.
We have also followed the work of Family Service, of
which member Mary Wells is CEO, and supported that work with announcements
from the pulpit and individuals’ contributions.
Other ongoing projects include special Thanksgiving and Christmas Food
Collections for Head Start families of Burlington County,
Campbell soup labels collection for the benefit of Murrow Indian
Children’s Home in Oklahoma, recycling eyeglasses for
an overseas eye clinic, and our Food Pantry for local
emergency needs.
